Handmade Experience “Kanzarashi”

Enjoy making and eating Kanzarashi!

At Shimabara Spring Water Museum, you can try your hand at making Kanzarashi, Shimabara’s local delicacy. Why don’t you try making this traditional sweet using Shimabara’s spring water?

Roll a white ball into a ball by hand, cool it in the spring water, and you are done! Enjoy the “Kanzarashi” made by yourself while looking out over the garden!

  • Contents I (Normal Plan)…Fee : 1000 yen
  • Contents II (plan with goods) …Kanzarashi-kun Tenugui Hand Towel (Blue or Pink) Fee : 1,200 yen

Flow

①水を入れ、よくこねます

②手のひらでコロコロまるめます

③沸騰したお湯に入れ、茹でます

④浮いてきたらお湯から出します

⑤冷水でよく冷やします

⑥シロップを入れて完成！
