Located at the edge of the moat of Shimabara Castle, this is where the East Toraguchimon (East Toraguchi Gate), one of the seven gates of Shimabara Castle, once stood. It is a historic building built in 1906 and is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. The former sake cellar was renovated and reopened as a restaurant specializing in “Shimabara Somen”.

The best recommendation is the “Luna Gozen,” which includes Shimabara Jigoku-ni Somen, salad bar, cold zarashi, and Unzen ham drink.

On weekends and holidays, events are held and local sake is sold.
