Ariake no Mori Flower Park
Nagasaki Prefecture’s New Sightseeing 100 Places
Ariake no Mori Flower Park is located on the rolling hills of Maidake, with the beautiful Ariake Sea below and the majestic Heisei Shinzan Mountain in the background.The park is known as the home of the Seven Lucky Gods, and visitors are greeted by large stone statues of the seven smiling gods.It has been selected as one of Nagasaki Prefecture’s 100 new tourist attractions, and is popular for its flowers that add color to the season.
The 2.1-hectare park is filled with seasonal flowers from spring to winter, and visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers from rape blossoms, cherry blossoms, and pansies in spring, to salvia, marigolds, and cosmos in summer and fall, and celosia in winter.
The park is a colorful space that offers healing to visitors.
In addition, the Furusato Product Hall in the park displays and sells fresh local agricultural products, marine products from the Ariake Sea, processed foods, and traditional Shimabara crafts.
