The “Shimabara Castle Countdown” will be held to welcome the 400th anniversary of the castle with laughter.

The event will also feature a stage, food and drink vendors including catering cars, the “Shimabara Castle Night Campaign,” a nighttime opening event of Shimabara Castle, and the simultaneous New Year’s Eve bell ringing and New Year’s soba noodle serving organized by the Shimabara Lions Club.
